Interest Builds...

First Race TBA Soon!!

Anticipation Rises!!

You've been a patient bunch, so I feel I must reward that patience soon. If nothing else, you'll have a great time while riding and using your GPS. I'll try to get a sample route up here very soon so people can download and actually ride if they like a small sample and get the feel for the format. It will be sooner than later if I make it close by, so say in either the south or eastern slopes of the Olympics for this sample. Then I'll give you a couple of weeks to stew on it. Feedback is appreciated and will be rewarded. --David
Here's what I can tell you so far.  These will be run on public roads, both paved and unpaved. The GPS route will be released for download at this website on midnight the day of the race opening (usually a Saturday morning).  You will have a 48 hour window to complete the course, and an additional 12 hours to submit your GPS's active tracklog and task results for consideration.

Places will be determined by a series of tasks at several points along the route.  The different tasks will require using your GPS in various ways to accomplish.  All prize monies are based on a percentage of the total entrace fees collected for that rally with an 80% payout:  First place- 50%.  Second place- 20%.  Third place-  10%. These rallies will be promoted on-line and word of mouth only, so you may be one of only a few entrants, or you might be one of many.   Less entrants = better odds of placing.  More entrants = bigger prizes.

Anyone with a computer and an internet connection can download the route and list of tasks after midnight.   The cost of the download includes your entrance fee and a GripTwister.com decal.   You don't pay an entrance fee until you download the route.  Visa and MasterCard are accepted.  We will tell you the dates, the general area in which it will be held, and give a general description of the route in advance to aid you in determining if it's in a location and at a time that works for you.  Either way, you will have a great time!

Note:  The responsibility for operating your motorcycle in a legal manner is yours alone.  GripTwister.com does not condone driving in a manner unsafe to other drivers while on public roads, and this includes excessive speed.  Your tracklog is used not to confirm that you operated safely in this respect, but rather for the sole purpose of determining that you rode the entire course as laid out.  Though speeds are indicated or can be computed for each leg comprising an active tracklog, they are by their nature just an averaged speed between two points, and do not provide the actual speed at any one moment in time.  Nor do they show the circumstances or context under which you were operating at any given moment.  GripTwister.com  will create and post the routes, and determine the winners... therefore, their employees will not be eligible to enter.

The first rally will be coming soon...  If you would like to be notified when it is, please contact us.
